The comedy, the romance, the drama and of course, the slap stick action (haha), totally priceless. Animation is superb done by the lovely select team at Silver Link, great line up of fitting voice actors, plus the story and development is going at a smooth pace. Even though after episode 2 .... You peoples are doing alright more than I expected, though at the same time I feel as if I'm watching a crossover show featuring the characters off K-ON and Strike Witches?shiver. ...

I don’t know if there is any gender correlation here. Seems like personal preferences to me. As a child, I enjoyed the Three Stooges as much as my brothers, but after seeing it for the 347th time, it lost some of the appeal. Nothing kills a joke better than too much repetition.

I really doubt that gender correlates with a sense of humor. Don’t think there’s enough room on the Y chromosome (it’s pretty small) after coding for testicles and hormones for a love of Chris Farley.
Personally, I don’t like slapstick humour at all. I like very dry humour that many people either find boring or it doesn’t do it for them. I’m not sure how much it is a gender thing as it is a cultural thing, however.
In terms of talent, I’ve found in my humble experience that male stand up comics have much more dexterity and spontaneity when on stage when compared to female comics. Now, here I’m looking at the best of the best, certainly I’m not suggesting that I would even dare perform on stage, but I find that men are more comfortable on stage and performing a very dry sort of humour and pulling it off. In terms of enjoyment, I’m not sure that there’s much of a gender difference. It has more to do with who has a better sense of humour. Modern Feminists have some of the worst senses of humour I’ve ever encountered (adjusted for age).
I like slapstick that’s combined w/ascerbic wit (it’s out there, really).
I find slapstick hard to watch myself, it’s so cringe worthy and doesn’t appeal to my sense of humour. I don’t think it’s a gender issue though, my mother could watch "home videos" of people busting themselves all day long. I suppose women are thought to be "more sympathetic" so some might think that they wouldn’t find slapstick as funny but I’d say it’s pretty 50/50
On Lifetime or its spinoffs, you don’t see many (if any) slapstick shows or movies…I would assume.
On Spike, at least you have Stooges and some other stuff, and G4 (Ick!) has some stuff. You’ll also recall that JA on MTV was created by men.

No slapstick for me, thanks. I have a schizophrenic, dark, surreal sense of humor. I laugh at such inappropriate things.
It depends upon your definition of "slapstick" humor. Three Stooges? I never liked that show. Slapping each other around always irritated me.
Chevy Chase is kinda slapstick though in that he’s usually very clumsy & imo he is always funny. Kinda dates me, but I loved him in Saturday Night Live! "Jane, you ignorant sl*t." Cracked me up!!

I don’t find slapstick funny. Watching people get hurt has never been entertaining to me. I don’t find shows like Jackass anything but cringe-worthy. It seems men do like that type of thing more than women but I’ve known some women who love Jackass and other shows like it.
I also think it’s more age related than gender related. Younger people seem to find it funnier than mature people.
My husband loved Jackass and Dirty Sanchez when it came out. I can handle Jackass but its not really my thing but Dirty Sanchez is just minging. I hate it. (Dirty Sanchez if you dont know it is the welsh copy of jackass but its way more disgusting)
It’s possible that men enjoy slapstick more than women. If so, then I imagine it would be because women have a nurturing nature and seeing others in pain doesn’t do it for a lot of us. Personally, I enjoy slapstick to a point, but as someone pointed out, the repetition does make it a bit boring after a while, at which point I’ll move onto something a bit more varied or mentally challenging.
This has been my experience, on the whole, by and large.
I don’t think I’ve ever known of any women who like the 3 Stooges, for instance. But they’re a fave of many, if not most, men.
But in general, mostly the two sexes find the same kinds of things funny — slapstick being the exception.
