I have a job interview today. I am going into army. Usually they ask what is your hobby. I love gaming and passionate about it. But i haven’t had much opportunities to participate in competions as such. Is it bad for me to mention it as hobby?

Well consider the game America’s Army – a game made by the US Military themselves. I don’t see them as looking down upon you for that. If you like to game, you like to game. It’s a legitimate hobby, something you do in your recreational time.

Im the same way. You can tell them but word it differently, like "I like to play video games, but they dont rule my life". And a big bit of advice, do alot of cardio, worry about weight lifting later. I know my sergeant would tear you apart if he heard you say your obsessed with video games.
Are you kiddding me?!?!?!? This is 2009. So much is done remotely today using drones and robots and there are many more things in development. Your calused little fingers could be a real asset.
Besides playing, can you hack games, etc.? Don’t put down and hide the skills you have.
